Re: Dash Mount for iPad

took some piecing together and is not the cheap way.
nuud case for my ipad air. ram mount that grips the nuud case. ram double ended adjustable shaft about 8" long that bolts to a weighted ram base and the back of the ram mount.
figured out I can turn off my hp stream 11's screen by closing it and not putting it to sleep.
so I can have splashtop send the streams silverleaf screen to the ipad. I use the mount on the dash so far although the left walnut drivers window forward shade surround looks strong enough to attach the ipad assembly to it.
I also use a garmin on a separate mount as it keeps a contunious mileage for the trip in its memory.
can post a picture if needed. I am not a price buyer. only the best quality.
the weighted base is heavy enough to not fall over unless a panic stop and if that happened it would fall towards the windshield,
the hp stream 11 screen quality is not like the ipad and it required a lot of dash area hence the mount for the ipad.
I switch it from weather radar to all stays to campground rating to apple or google maps for routing.
the silverleaf is more accurate but on my 97 does not do much more than the dash gauges other than boost info and trip meters
distracting somewhat. better in the normal vision lines I feel. hence the eyeing of the wood window piece for mounting.
no drilling in the coach ever. no extra holes. period
may need a second ipad and mount. its an expensive hobby as the cummins guy told me....
