Maverick Transfer Switch questions

About two weeks ago after connecting the shore line at a State Park, the transfer switch (Switching Relay #1, Drawing #A-2700.25) took what I thought was longer than usual to close.  When it closed, it opened and closed rapidly two or three times.  While I went out to check the EMS, it did it again.  I found normal readings on the EMS but noticed I did not have a solid connection at the plug.  The EMS plug was pulled to one side due to the water faucet.  I rearranged the EMS to take the side load off the connection and everything has been normal since, until yesterday.
Everything normal until Donna plugged in the small George Forman Grill...a minute later we lost power to the coach.  EMS showed good power at the pole but no power in the coach.  Maybe 4 or 5 minutes later we heard the clunk of the relays and the power was back.  While shore power was out, finished with the grill on batteries.  With shore power restored, she started the microwave and a minute later the power was out again.  And after 4 or 5 minutes without the microwave, the power came back on. 
My observations are that my Progressive Industries EMS shows no errors.
The AC voltage readings for L1 and L2 on the built-in power line monitor appear ok with 125 VAC on L1 and 124 VAC on L2.
The voltage appears to "kick out" after a load of 1000 watts or more has been in use for a couple of minutes.
None of the circuit breakers in either panel ever tripped.
I have visually and physically checked connections at both Switching Relay #1 and #2 and all connections are secure and no evidence of excessive temperature.
Since last night, we have had no problem, running things normally such as the toaster, electric Aqua-Hot and such.  I am attaching a couple of pictures of the Transfer Switch and have a question or two.  What is the orange box with the hi and lo setting?  Is this the delay time before the respective relay "kicks in"?  Does anyone know if the settings are correct, whatever they are? 
I have no documentation on the Transfer Switch so if any of you have any ideas, my thanks in advance for sharing.

That is the Over/Under voltage relay which protect against high voltage and low voltage.  DO NOT CHANGE THE SETTINGS YOURSELF!  These have to be calibrated against a known source then set.  Now, I expect they can go bad like any relay.

We have some Maverick transfer switch info around here somewhere.  Will look and post later if someone doesn't comment first.

ETA - quick question, since earlier issue was possibly EMS not plugged in fully - have you checked mechanical integrity of plugs at both ends of EMS and also the end of your shoreline cord?  If EMS is not erroring it might be receiving OK power but a loose plug connection between it an transfer switch wouldn't show up as an error.

Bill,
Interesting that you improved the situation  by moving the plug at the campground receptacle.
A lot of the time people unplug before they turn off the breaker causing an arc, burning the inside of the receptacle and making a poor contact.
Before I started chasing this I think I would move to another site to see if the problem goes away on a different receptacle.

I am also having problems with my xfer switch, last night I read an interesting web site that MAY have some good to know info. I had a friend last week experience this problem at a "resort" in Tucson, burned the transfer switch in his new MH. Electrician checked the  pedistal with a meter and all checked out....didn't load test it.

Yup, and open neutral can cause massive damage.  Voltage can "range" from 60's to 160's and sometimes even wider when on 50 amp (takes 2 hots to get over 120 VAC from open neutral).

Without a "reference point" alternating current is stupid.

Good....no, GREAT, info. Maybe I'll try this, rec'd my new xfer switch yesterday, but maybe just do the bypass surgery instead. Save the new switch for a home connection....or something.
