Leaking kitchen faucet

I have a 1998, U-295, 36', build #5233.  I just returned from the rally in Bainbridge GA. and while I was there the kitchen faucet started leaking at the base.  I would rather rebuild it then replace but without taking it out I can't determine it's brand or model.  If someone knows the manufacturer and model, that would be great.  If someone knows the rebuild kit that would be even better.

Without a photo don't have any idea what you have.  Look again and you may find brand name.  Lowes & Home Depot have complete rebuild kits for most brands.

Fred, That looks like the same MOEN that I had in a 95 U280.  I had the same problem. When I tried to take it apart to repair it was so corroded that I was going to tear it completely into pieces to get to the cartridge.  I called Moen but their suggestion was to send them the whole faucet.  HaHaHa, I could not get it apart.
Finally I gave up and with the help of Bill W in FL I got a new faucet and had it installed. ( and the tech tore it completely to pieces due to corrosion )
Good Luck

That looks like the faucet I fixed last year in my 1995. Maybe I was just lucky but it came apart real easy and Menards had a kit for it. I can't remember if it was a Moen or Delta, but it was a common faucet repair kit. Now the Moen faucet in the shower I remember well, It was like Gary's experience. Mark

I got a return phone call from Foretravel and Mike says it is a Delta model 462-wh (white) and the repair kit is RP-3614.  Amazon is going to help me out.  Thanks all for your help.  Now to take it apart.

It looks like I've responded too late, but when my faucet was leaking, I opted for a much taller and longer new one.

Previously, when I was washing dishes, especially big pots or cookie sheets, I was constantly splashing and dumping water up behind the sink, under the faucet.  This was because it was so short and low, that it required me to have the items so close to the back of the sink to get them under the stream of water to rinse them off.

Now, with a much longer and taller faucet, combined with a it being a pull out, handheld one, it makes for much cleaner dish washing.  There are only minor splash drips on the counter when I'm done, and a quick wipe takes care of that.

I think it is the Delta, like mine.
Troubleshoot Your Product : Delta Faucet

Product Documentation : Customer Support : Delta Faucet
I recently identified the nearest thing, on their web site, and then called Delta. Although it is a discontinued model, they sent me all the seals and new ball to rebuild it. Young man in customer service was very patient and helpful. They also have several videos on line to help.
Many people do not realize that you don't have to replace a good faucet or BUY parts for it. This time, Delta sent me three poly bags of parts @ no charge.  Previously, for my kitchen fixture at home, Moen did the same.

I have the same faucet and same leak as Fred and Dawn.  I also called Delta.  They are sending me the parts.  Very glad for the help here on the forum.

I mentioned about the free parts many months ago when I was reserecting the 95 240. The local plumbing supply place here gave me a new kit and just wanted the old stuff. These parts were 20 yrs old and I got the new ones fro free!!
