King Dome

I am having trouble getting my king dome to lock on, I called the company and talked to tech support and was told I needed to rent the keypad Diagnostic tool to reprogram my unit. I was wondering if anyone has done this with any success. The unit is searching fine it just won't lock on. I have a clear sky and a good Dish receiver. Any thoughts would be great

We had the same problem.  Had to down load the software from King Dome and reprogram.  The dish kept dropping the program.  We eventually upgraded to a news dish.

I,ve had the same problem with mine the last couple times I,ve been out.

 It eventually locked on but it took a while.

We got rid of our King Dome. No need to be able to watch while traveling down the road ... and ours would jump off of the track every once in a while.  What a pain!!  We now have a Winegard Travel'r and it does very nicely.
