Elaine and DH,

I don't know on your coach the exact location of water pump, but usually it is accessible.  Follow the sound?  One of the U225 owners will probably see this and respond.  In the meantime, if you have a manual "water tank fill valve" on your coach, check to be sure it is fully closed.  If it is open, even a little, your water pump will run all day and never produce any pressure.

On our '92 the domestic water pump was located under the couch. If you had long enough arms you could reach it without removing the couch, we just had to hold up the couch base and squeeze in to get to it.

on my 95 U240, it is under the couch.  Mine also has a door in front of the couch to work/replace parts under it.  The water value on the tank for filling must be closed for the water pump to work and build pressure.

Be sure to check the screens and aerators on your faucets for crud.  I clean mine out every year, lots of sand and bits of whatever slow the flow.  Roger

As said, the pump is normally installed under the couch.  Also check the screen on the inlet to the pump.  Most are bayonet-type fittings.

Thanks to all we can hear it behind or under the sofa. We don't know how to get the sofa out of the way to get to it. We have checked valves and faucet screens the pump has grown louder and the water flow is down everywhere inside. The loudness is a sign of wear or what?

There are two bolts to remove the couch. You will have to remove it to work on the water pump and or the water pressure tank. The bolts are on each end "end of seat" & "end of back rest" where they meet. It is somewhat hard to reach but once you get a socket & a small ratchet on it you are good to go. I believe loud is not necessarily indication of not operating properly, unless it just got louder all of a sudden. I replaced mine with new just to have a quiet one and I kept the original as a spare. I had a easy access while couch was out for upholstery work. Once the Couch is removed pump can be replaced easily and quickly.
Good luck.

As mentioned earlier I would first check that the tank fill valve is not open. The loud pump could also be just the pump was installed without the rubber mounting feet. Luckily it is a very simple unit to work on and remove. Should be able to do it by holding up the "bed/sofa". Lift it up from front edge.

The tank-fill valve on our '93 U225 is under a narrow access door in the top of the "doghouse" between the pilot and co-pilot chairs. We have two ball valves. The one nearest the pilot (driver) is the one that must be closed to get water from the tank by the pump. On ours the handle points directly aft (towards the back of the coach) when it is closed and towards the driver's seat when it is open.
