How Thick is the Floor ?

Getting ready to install a freezer in the basement. Since I need to bolt it down, what is the floor thickness ? I have some SS all thread, but cap screws are neater.

Dave,

Suspect your basement floor bracing is the same as the rest: 1.5" box beams.  Add a tiny amount for the fiberglass above and below.

BUT, were I mounting something heavy on the basement floor (be it a freezer, Joey bed, etc) I would absolutely use 1/8" aluminum plate below (as a "fender washer") and above, just under the freezer to spread the load (unless the bottom of the freezer is dead level). So, add 1/4". Note: the long runners of the Joey bed spread the load in the basement, so the only plate needed for them is below.

Said another way, the foam core of the basement should not be considered structural.  Spread the load!

If a freezer was optional the floor structure may already have the steel framing to support one.

Probably does.  At least the oem offered ones with their mounting?

VERY easy to tell.  Run a magnet over the floor area in question.
