Leaking ABS Valves & HWH

I had the opportunity to stop at HWH to try and resolve my air leak issue.  (Not all that bad, several hours between pump cycles, but annoying.) 

Charles found, and showed me the bubbles, coming out from the bottom of all four ABS valves.  Also, the drivers side rear ride height valve is leaking.

Has anyone had experience with replacing these valves?  Part number? (I can see but not read the label data.  I tried to take a picture and will see if those are readable on my computer.)  Cost?

How about the ride height valve?

Again, I was super impressed with HWH.  While under the coach on the rack, Salvadore spotted where the air hose to the left rear brake had been rubbing on the drive shaft and was almost worn through.  Lon (senior/supervisor? dude) offered to call a mobile mechanic and let him replace it while still on the rack.  It could have gone at any time and left me with locked up brakes someplace.  Wow! what service.  Also, Ashley the service contact let me have an Amazon package delivered to HWH and then hand carried it to us on the rack.  HWH did not charge me anything for their service, rack time, etc.  I said they should have but graciously accepted their help. 

What an incredible organization and super neat folks.

We had a similar great experience at HWH. The abraded brake line on our had let go just as we pulled off the Interestate (didn't know we had a problem). The mobile tech replaced it and lengthened it so as to tie it up out of the way. He tied others up, too. We let them fix a couple of solenoids and the total bill with the modile tech was under $300! b^.^d

I don't have any experience with ABS as my coach does not have it.  Seems strange that all 4 would be leaking unless they do that normally.  I carry a spare ride height valve and had to replace one alongside the road once.  Not too hard except it can be rigged backwards, all 3 valves are the same.  Also the 2 replacement bolt holes were a little different, but one mounting bolt was enough to hold it in place until I could drill another hole in the mounting plate.  I will check later for the part number, unless someone else has it.

The ride height Model/ part # is Haldex Anchorlok Height Control Leveling  Valve #90555105

NAPA price was $98.65 + tax = $104.57 per valve last Sept.

The front one was replaced in our driveway ( could not get the front end to raise to travel level) and the rear 2 at a shop we deal with before heading out to HWH to service the leveling system.

We agree that HWH where very easy to work with.

I looked at my spare ride height valve.  It was in a box with KN27000 on it.  No manufacturer label on the box or valve so maybe a knock off, but  searching for that number I find a Haldex-Midland part on several sites that looks like it.  It's possible that Foretravel used a different part on later model years.

ABS valves may not get exercised (moved) for years. How often have you applied the brakes and felt a ABS release ?
You need to find out the test procedure for your ABS system and cycle it once in a while to exercis the valves.
That would probably help with valves leaking.

Thanks , I had toyed with the idea of heading toward factory when stared to head home but it's almost 400mile in wrong direction ,

Hi,

Lead time for HWH normally is about 4 weeks if you aren't picky about the date. Though, if you have small problem or an emergency, it could be a lot shorter -  they might work you into the next day. Always best to call ahead.

On the weekends you have to stay across the street in their north lot because they lock the main gates on weekends. During the week you can stay in the service/ north lot - and a few spaces just east of the building have electricity. Once you are being repaired, they might let you stay over night(s) inside the building to complete your needs the next day(s).

They have a really good attitude about helping people and lower costs for most work. And if they don't really do any work, but  just evaluate, it might all be free. Now that's amazing; you don't see very often any more.

I've been there three times and have been always treated well a fairly. I would be very surprised if you thought their work ever was sub-standard.

When I turn the ignition on, you here 3 sets of clicking. I'm 99% sure it's the ABS solenoids.

On my '95 if you step on and hold the brake and then turn on the key I get two air bleed offs at each wheel. Other than that I don't think those valves get to move other than a during a wheel skid.
