Re: Basement.....Previously occupied by rodents Reply #2 – July 23, 2015, 05:35:28 pm Very Nice! I like the alternating pattern in the carpet, and the silver stuff you put over the generator cooling shroud.Funny the little differences I notice in coaches similar (model) to ours. For instance, when I look in our front storage bay (from the driver side door), our inverter is on the left, and the air compressor is on the right. Just the opposite of yours. Quote Selected

Re: Basement.....Previously occupied by rodents Reply #4 – July 25, 2015, 06:50:52 pm So...moving on to the next compartment.....there is the water leak! RATS! This pipe was in the 4" space between the top of the water tank and the floor....Had to pull the tank. Quote Selected

Re: Basement.....Previously occupied by rodents Reply #6 – July 26, 2015, 09:05:15 am Karl - Maybe that chewed up pipe is a case for keeping a couple of water bottles easily viewed in a compartment. Maybe the rodents would go after the easier source of water first and you could tell there was a problem a little sooner? Quote Selected

It was stored unused and untouched for about 13 years. It was stored inside but the storage unit was less than desirable. I recently moved it to a much nicer inside storage unit. Quote Selected

(I'm probably jinxing myself by saying that...)Really not sure if it was rats or squirrels or both. Pecan shell all around the basement. One thing for sure they had a party! It was stored in a undesirable storage unit for about 13 years after my parents death. With all of the rodent activity in the basement compartments, I am pleasantly surprised that is all that I have found chewed up. A nasty mess, but could be much worse. Quote Selected
Re: Basement.....Previously occupied by rodents Reply #10 – July 27, 2015, 11:16:37 am How is the wiring? Mice seem to think electrical wiring is very tasty. If you have larger rodents chomping on your coach you may also have smaller ones.Hint: the most tasty places are the hardest to get to, as in "disassemble car starting with gas cap" hard. Surprisingly...I have found no damage to any wiring. I saw a few chew marks on wires above the water tank when I had it out, but not even through the insulation. Quote Selected
