power cord 50 amp for 1998 U270

I was wanting to know a source for the FT power cord. The idiot at the farm mowed into 2 pieces.  It has the yellow twist lock end where it attaches to the wet bay.

A 50 amp Marinco is the cord. I found one online when I wanted one. Camping world will have one as do boat places.

When you order, you should also just order a 30 amp version too. Easier then dealing with adapters. ANy RV dealer will have them in stock too.

John, why not put female and male ends on the cut pieces and you will have a long cord when connected together and two shorter cords when apart.  Don't throw away your cut pieces as they have high value.

Also the round 'Hubbell" end is NOT molded on.  It is easily removed and installed on a new piece of cable.

We changed our coach end of our shore cable to SmartPlug, which we find to be a much more secure and electrically stronger.  One of the best improvements we have made.

Smartplug is big in the boating world and more recent in the RV world.

John,

You could go to an electrical supply company and get a new male end and a section of 4 conductor #6 so cord. Take the 'Hubbell" end off the dead cord and install it on to the new cord along with the new male end and you will have a new cord.
