aftermarket cruise control for my U225 mechanical cummins

Will this work (Rostra 250-1223 Universal Cruise Control Kit) or has anyone had experience replacing their bendix cruise control with this unit on an older 1992 U225 mechanical cummins engine? less than $200 if you use your own switch. Will it work? the literature says it will work on diesels. thanks again all
