Circuit breakers

I cannot locate the circuit breakers in my coach.. I thought they were in a white cabinet in the basement, but no...

Cables run from that box upwards, but I have not been able to find where they go - to the circuit breakers somewhere???

Howdy Duane,
I'm sure you're talking about the 12vdc breakers.  On our coach they are located behind a vertical dash panel directly in front of the passenger seat.  This panels just pulls off with a little effort.

As Dave said, on my 98 I too have a dozens of them under the panel in front of the passenger hidden behind the vertical panel.  But there are also a number of them in the bays found after removing the white fiberglass covers.  For example the 12 volt battery disconnect breaker, controlled at the entry switch is there.  Till I found it, zero items in the coach worked when tripped.

Our breakers have a tiny button on the side of the breaker, that can be pushed back in to reset the breaker.

As Brother Dave stated where breakers are located, some of those large diameter 12-volt cables you see behind the white panel on the basement wall, go to the step rotary switch and some go the panel Dave mentioned.  These cables are also connected to house & start battery banks.
Front 12-volt breaker panel is divided up between circuits on the house battery, start battery and ignition key.  We mark the bus-bars with START, HOUSE or IGNITION.
A few house circuits are protected with fuses in a panel on the front of the bed.
What breakers are you looking for?

I am looking for the breaker for the rear-view mirror circuit. The ones controlled by the two small switches at my left knee.

I have seen the breakers behind the front panel in front of the panel. They are all labeled; none say "mirrors". I did not see any push buttons for resetting on those.

Duane,

Those breakers are self resetting and don't have reset buttons.

Possibly there is a in-line fuse holder on the power lead to the mirror control panel?  On our GV, there is a conventional blade type fuse for the mirrors, located in the large fuse grouping under the dash.

Howdy Duane, Looking at my prints for the '00 U320, Breaker #10 is ID'd as mirrors.  10 amp breaker.  Of course, it may be (probably) different on your '97.

Duane,  Do you have wiring diagrams for your coach?

Re: Circuit breakers

the automotive functions should be up front if not you can look behind the white shield in the lower middle compartment bay if you have one. I had one on my 99, 00 and 01.  But mirror should be up front I would think.  Look at your wiring diagram and find it that way.

I looked. I cannot find the mirror breaker in Barry's diagram.

The diagram is small. It will not allow copying.

I have made pictures of my area  where the breaker is supposed to be located. I will enlarge them and see if I can find the breaker.

If the breaker is self-resetting, it is defective and needs replacement. I could not see a reset button on any of the breakers in the area in front of the passenger seat.

Try resetting the GFI breaker in the 120 plug under the bathroom sink .  This controls a lot of plugs around the coach.

It is NOT a 115vac breaker.

OK you are correct got to be a fuse in the 12 volt lighting system somewhere.  Most likely in the front fuse panel in front of the passenger seat; however, if not then behind the white cover.  Does your coach have the original white box of product brochures?
If so they may help.  Maybe a call to Mike Rogers would help at MOT.  He really knows his stuff  and always seems to want to be of assistance for any occasion.

Duane,

Here are the pics for you.  With our coaches being close builds your 12vdc electrical panel should be about the same.
The mirror breaker is in the second row of breakers from the top and the second breaker from the left.
1st pic the complete panel
2nd the breaker is behind the buss bar as my pin is pointed to the feed side of the # 10 breaker stud.
3rd you can see #10/  10 amp/  wire 58 wh
4th is what the breaker looks like out of it's cage
The part # for this breaker is Cole Hersee 30056-10
