my 1992 U225 hwh leveler will not come down

After my accident of wheel falling off of passenger right side front and dragging on the hwh leveler a fitting broke, I replaced the fitting..... first try the cylinder extended in the up position, and never not kicked down.
 No leaks. any ideas?
I bought a second leveler from a wrecked 1993 u225 and it has 1  hydraulic hose to the cylinder and mine has 2, can I use the replacement cylinder somehow? thanks again for all of your help

First thing to do is check that the wire attached to outside of cylinder is there and good ground connection thru it. I think these are the 610 models and they use a ground connection to signal the ups and downs. There is a Mercury filled link on them if I remember right.
Look for the single wire and check it and connection out.
