I believe that those Bronco headlights are the H6054 size.  You should be able to use the following DOT approved lights in their place.  The LEDs are cheaper than the HID.

JW Speaker 5x7" Rectangular 8900 Evolution LED Headlight - Black Version
Starr HID Xenon Projector 5x7" Rectangular Headlight System - Chrome

I think I'm just gonna mount one (or more) of those 50" wide LED light bars on the front of the coach - like the ones I'm starting to see all the jacked up pickups here in Texas using. ;-)

I should add that there are cheaper lights available in the H6054 size (if that's what the GVs used, its what my 98 has).  I just threw out there what were considered the best of the DOT approved options.  You'll still be fighting against the very low factory light placement if you're driving a U-series FT though.

The Truck-Lites tend to be popular and well regarded for less than $500/pr.

5x7 and 7x6" Rectangular Sealed Beam Conversion Housings

I'll be working on replacing my existing headlights with the GE Nighthawk H6054NH sealed beam headlamps over the next couple of days which are very highly regarded halogen lamps on the candlepower forums and can be had for about $15/each.

Amazon.com: GE H6054NH Nighthawk Automotive Headlight Bulb, Pack of 1:...

If they turn out well, I might consider getting LED headlamps to replace them rather than going to Xtreme for the headlight upgrade.

Here's a video that shows the different options available.

As a younger version of myself 30 years ago and running a Foretravel store we could borrow used coaches to go rving in.

Dry camp.  Lots of open spaces in the west then.

Enjoyed the beauty of an area during the day then drove at night 4-5 hours.  Midnight was the max.

Uncrowded highways.

But we were in our 20's and 30's then.  Young folks in a nice pusher.

But leaves it vulnerable to rapid return of yellowing, unlike the UV cured clear coat applied as the final step of the Sam's Club $29 headlamp restoration.

Ignore my earlier posts about the H6054 size fitting since it is smaller than our existing lights.

Interestingly, it looks like someone has modified the original headlights with the Starr HID projector kits on this unit.

I looked at the 97 at MOT. I didn't like the look of the headlights. They may have worked well, but I don't know, they couldn't get the rig to start.
