Is there a list of all Foretravel recalls?  I searched for recalls on my coach at the safercar.gov website and found the aquahot  recall about the insulation underneath the unit.  I don't have aquahot though.  Seems as though this latest recall could apply to a lot of RV's with this brand and model of refrigerator.  Most any absorption refrigerator is subject to this problem with age,  even though a specific defect is not noted.  One of the reasons I replaced my 15 year old refrigerator 5 years ago.  A friend had his RV parked next to his house, refrigerator fire burned the RV and set the house on fire when they were not at home.  Fortunately it doesn't happen very often.

Interesting that the problem is addressed by adding some fuses and a burn housing rather than fixing the defect, but I supposed that  would require replacement of the refrigerator $$$.  Would said fuses and burn housing on any absorption refrigerator make it safer?

I believe someone mentioned a brand of refrigerator that uses helium? rather than hydrogen in the coolant mixture.

Gary - what do you mean by something new?  Here is a link to that recall on beamalarm.com with a 2007 date.

Very interesting, the SaferCar notice that is on Gary's link has a receipt date of 03/05/07. Why is it appearing in their notice of 07/29/15?

No RV! Have hung up the keys.

The 2015 date is what caught my eye, I know there have been previous recalls.
Just our imperial federal guvmint at work ?
I was not looking for this, just stumbled across it and thought that it was odd with a recent date but you never know what is going on.
