Puck lights

Just finished replacing the puck light bulbs with LEDs. They are similiar to the traveling LED G4.

I'm using the same LEDs. Very pleased.

I chose warm white, which look like halogens when on, but brighter.

I put the "5050" style in nearly all my pucks, except the driver's map light.
used to be sold in packages of ten @ $7.99. now sold in packages of two @ $4.99.  They were these:

Now I'm thinking of using these in a couple critical areas, such as above the dining table:

I swapped all of my brass trimmed puck lights with glass bezeled LEDs. The 3" are a direct swap.  We used the 4.5" over the dining room table, over the sink and a new one under the cabinet over the countertop.  A bit more $$ but much more light.

Amazon.com: ITC (69231B-3K-DB) 3" Radiance LED Overhead Light/Spring Mount:...

After doing this I have about 24 of the original puck lights with brass trim rings and bulbs.  If you need some let me know.  $5 each or $25 for 6 and I'll pay shipping.  Or make me an offer.  They need to go to somewhere where they are needed.

ITC makes a wide range of lighting and other RV products.  You have to watch shipping.  The EBay offer for $5 adds $7.80 min for shipping.  Camping World adds $5.  If you have Amazon Prime 2 day shipping is "free".  Look for ITC on Amazon.  Lots of products.

The spring mounts look better than the screw mounts.  Even if you paint the screws white you will still see them.  Making adjustments is easier with the spring mounts.

And usable voltage ranges... for RVs you want a range, not just a "12V" LED.

That is correct. The ITC RV fixtures work over a range of voltages typical in an RV.  They are what FT uses in their new coaches. Steve posted a thorough disertation on how LEDs and voltages work (or don't work) together.  Way over my head but it made sense.

LED's are often marked with a voltage range 10-30V.
The ones in question are:
Product Specifications: 10-14 Volt, 0.26 Amp, 3.6 Watt, 160 Lumens
I often get combined shipping on eBay and elsewhere.  Considering the number of these we have under cabinets, I doubt anyone is going to order just one.  $7 or $8 postage is insignificant when ordering several of the fixtures.  In fact, minutes ago I ordered four of the ITC 3" spring mount frosted glass fixtures $5 ea plus $8.10 total postage.  Order is with an Amazon partner, Tweety's, not fulfilled by Amazon (which would be free postage on $35 order w/o paying to get PRIME membership).

I got 6 of the puck lights from Roger.  It turns out they are the wrong size for our coach.  They are 3" bezels; 2 1/4" hole.  The price is right; if anyone can use them just spring for the shipping.

Doug,
These bulbs are quite nice as an LED replacement for the halogen bulbs.  $6 for two.  Warm white is better (in my opinion) inside.  Cool white (or just white) is good for bays.  They are a direct replacement for the halogen bulbs, no change required for the existing lights or heat sink.

I got the new ITC lights because new bulbs and new bezels in brushed nickel were about the same price as the ITC lights which are very nice, dimmable, fit in the existing holes, use the existing wiring, have a frosted glass bezel and put out more light than any replacenpment bulb that I found.

These bulbs look good but they are not dimmable.
The Nimbus halogens are dimmable.
The problem with Amazon, where we buy almost everything, is finding bulbs that say 'dimmable'. Lots of bulbs say 'not dimmable' but lots don't say. If they don't say 'not dimmable' does that mean they are dimmable?
Maybe I'm just dim.
Not to worry. I'll eventually find the right bulbs. No hurry. Winters coming anyway so we need the halogen heat.

Doug, I found if they say they have a voltage range then they are dimmable. I changed out the switches that turned the old halogens on and off and put in a King Dimmer that is electronic and has a rotary knob control and is sold in many RV stores. It has worked good for nearly 3 yrs now. Was $20 here.

Doug, I am confused.  Every Nimbus I have looked at especially later models like yours have the ITC glass LED ceiling lights. Maybe you are looking for lights for something else.

Is this what your ceiling lights look like?  These are the ITC LED dimable lights.

Wow, I see they are $20 at Amazon now.  I bought them for about $11.

Try this link. They are less than $13.

You will have a hard time finding a 160 lumen bulb.

All of he ceiling lights  are halogens and they do look like your pic. I've had to replace bulbs a few that burned out. Maybe we got the last of the halogens or something.

Thanks. For the info. makes sense.

I've emailed a source and asked if they have a dimmable G4 replacement. Waiting for reply
