Torn bay door gasket--emergency repair

As we were starting our current trip about 3 months ago, I found a 5" tear in one of my bay door gaskets.  We have been on the road since then so I did not want to start trying to replace gaskets at that time. 

I found that superglue would repair the tear.  I did use a little very fine sandpaper (1000 grit) to smooth the hard glue residue at the seam.  After two months it is working just fine.

When I used to go diving, I used some glue called "Black Magic" to repair my wetsuit. It worked great, and since wetsuits were made out of neoprene rubber, that stuff would probably work great on these door gaskets. I guess they don't make a product with that name anymore, but here is a link to something which may be similar;

When replacing the front door gasket, PTL, the supplier to Foretravel, recommends using super glue to glue the corners together.
I also used it on bay gaskets that got torn.
