My guess is with a proper venturi they will lower, not raise back pressure.

IF an issue occurred I suppose the pipe(s) would have to be removed to move the coach to where someone could trouble shoot the units.

Solves the liability issue a bit?

A pipe pointing up into an open hole would be difficult to create back pressure.

I can imagine other setups that could cause issues although

I could not use one of my window awnings and it meant setup and rake down. If I am dry camping, I just turn the key and air up and go.  I never really saw the need for them and I think we make huge efforts for no real gain. Gave you been to a large truck stop in the cold months. The ground shakes and there is exhaust smells all over. The trucks are almost all up like is being discussed. You still can't easily have your windows open.

I wish all coaches would run the gen exhaust up in the wall and out the roof like Bluebird and others did and then you would have no issues.

Seems cheaper to buy than to spend all the time fabricating?

Update today- I went to my local hardware store with a print out of Bill's home made gen turi so I could show the guys and get their help on selecting materials.  We called in a second guy who is the "expert" and he was showing me that by the time we got all the materials together- it was going to be >$100.  He asked my how much the Gen-turi was selling for and when I told him, he said,
"if I were you I would order the kit.  It is already made and proven to be safe and with CO gas you want it to be safe."  I thanked both guys for their help, did buy a couple of bungee cords I needed, then came home and ordered from Amazon.  Sometimes KISS makes sense.

By the way, Bill made his gen -turi in 2008- PVC, steel, materials have gone up in price a lot since then.  Thanks for the idea Bill, my timing is bad I guess........lol

Interestingly Diesel exhaust is far safer than gasoline & LPG exhaust.  Gas produces carbon monoxide (CO) which binds to hemoglobin, preventing the uptake of oxygen in the blood, and will poison you without you knowing.  Diesel has only a small about of CO and lots more carbon dioxide (CO2) which just displaces air in the environment.  You will soon know if its diesel exhaust as your eyes will sting and throat and lungs will be irritated.  Also it will become increasing harder to breathe.  Still bad for you but not immediately deadly.

This is not to say don't use a exhaust stack.  It's considerate of others to do so.
