Duo therm thermostat

I have done quite a bit of research on my options of upgrading my analog thermostat. It seems like too much money to invest in a 21 year old A/C.....so I thought I would ask here if anyone has an old one laying around (see Picture). If no...probably time to  invest in a new A/C. I really hate to do the new unit with this one working. I have sunk quite a few $$ and a lot of time so far int this project.
New tires, new house and start batteries, new upholstery on dash and captains chairs, rebuilt alternator, new 3000 watt inverter charger, rebuilt Allison ECU and remote, rebuilt steering box, rebuilt the air dryer all finished...still working on install of new refrigerator. After that I still need flooring and couch reupholstered, insulation in engine and generator compartments, new TV's, new backup camera and monitor...the list goes on and on.....is there any end???

So any help on the thermostat would be appreciated!

Karl,

Do you have the four-button thermostat?  The reason I'm asking is because when we bought our coach, a friend — Gary Omel, who follows the Forum — told us that the four-button thermostats can be overhauled.  Gary, if you are reading this, would you post the name for both of us?  If no response in a few days (because I know Gary is traveling), I'll personal message him.

Karl,

If I may jump in...suggest you call 308-440-5154 for rebuilding 4 button thermostats - a forum member.

Hi Karl,
That forum member, who rebuilds the thermostats, does great work, and is very reasonable in his pricing.

The entire discussion is about four button, and the original post is looking for a replacement analog thermostat for cheap.

I guess nobody read the original post.

Looks analog/but it does have some electronics for light indicators -  wonder what the failure mode is?

Thanks krush and car54.  For whatever reason, the photo did not appear when I read the post — perhaps that happened to others, as well.  I do TRY to read and pay attention.

It does have lights but it is analog. Dometic sells a board to change out in the AC but with the thermostat  it cost as much as a new AC. I got it going but won't go into high fan ....so medium will do for now. I did find one on Ebay for 100 bucks. I might go that route  for now.

Bill Hendrix rebuilt mine on an emergency basis in less than an hour.
Been a couple years ago tho.
Call Innovative Coach works in Wichita.  Rom Hawkins has replaced several old style AC's and I bet he has some old style thermostats laying around.

My thermostat for the front duo therm had been touchy since forever. It will not always turn on the air conditioner. Well now it quit completely. Was going to take it down and troubleshoot the thing, don't know if the switch is bad or have a bad solder joint. Well the ribbon connector is soldered to the board it is not plugged into the circuit board...... Dumb dumb dumb. Did not have time to see if maybe there is a short pigtail or something, the ribbon disappears into the cabinet somewhere. Bummer as we usually run the front AC going down the road.
