Sliding windows

What are we using that would allow the sliding windows to move easily without the help of Samson??

...dry silicone spray...works on just about anything that slides. (patio doors too)

I use Jig A Loo silicone lube. Works great.

We use 3M Silicone Lubricant (Dry Type) 08897.  I order it from NAPA, but found it on the Internet also.  The word "Dry Type" is important, as regular silicone usually stays wet.

Barry had recommended the 3M 08897 some time ago and I bought a couple cans from Amazon and tried it.  It worked very well with no bad side effects.  Used about 3/4 of a can for first application.  I sprayed directly into the slide channel.  Seems to last too since I haven't needed to reapply.  I was surprised how sometimes it's the upper channel that needs the lube.  My windows are single pane.

I use a combined silicone/Teflon spray.  Works well.

Have a something a bit different......see if it helps IF you are not completely satisfied with the spray only.  We tried the dry silicone sprays.  Helped.  But thought might do a bit better.

Then I decided to use just water and a toothbrush.  I was surprised how much dirt I cleaned out.  Use a rag after light scrubbing so to absorb the water and dirt, dry.  Then apply the silicone spray.  (if you borrowed the toothbrush from someone, maybe get them a new one!)

Maybe this is/was not needed by any of the rest of you, but for our coach it made it so easy to move the windows that it seems you might break one pushing too hard, fast, since you expected it to be hard.  Maybe only helped on ours due to extraordinary amount of dirt accumulated over long time, may not help you much.  Just a variation that helped ours.
