Water manifold

Has anyone dared turn off one of the water valves at the manifold in the wet bay? I know mine has not been moved in at least 10 years. Need to make a faucet repair, be nice not to have to shut the water off.

I turned mine off too but you could just shut off the pump and run the water at the lowest point the utility bay and it will drain too.

Thanks for the replies and the part number for the valves. I was just wondering if it was going to turn into a sprinkler. I guess I will turn it off. I need to repair the faucet in the wet bay. By turning it off I can hunt parts as the hardware store presents itself.

Turn it off slowly.  If no problem then cycle it on and off a few times so no surprises later.

You might get lucky and if not you may be able to just replace a couple of O rings from your local hardware store.

I too recently used the Maniblock, and loved being able to service the toilet and yet still have running water at the sink and the wet bay for cleaning things.  I also replaced the wet bay valve stems, by using the shut off valves.  Neither time any problems.

For those of us without the manibloc setup, you can install individual valves on each line as well as on the water tank exit point. Not as nifty as the manibloc but just as effective. The photo shows the two under the kitchen sink.
