I don't know the answer for certain but 1995 seemed to be a transition year and so it wouldn't surprise me if there is a U300 with an M11 engine.

Yes, I knew of one in Yuma a few years back.

95 u300 Special edition M 11-400, Jake.

I was between coaches that year and stopped in and talked with the owner. He wasnt ready to sell but I left my name.....
8 months later he called but I had just purchased a coach two weeks prior. It was brought up to Quartzsite (last lemon rally) for folks to look over, some may remember.

Would only be found in a U300, all U280's had the Cummins C/8.3 liter engine.

And up until late 1994, the U300 came ONLY with the Detroit Diesel 6V92 two stroke engine.

Then in 1995, two different engine were added to the mix in U300's:  Caterpillar 3176 and Cummins M11. Both the latter with Allison 4000 series transmissions (vs 3000 series in all other coaches).  Both 3000 and 4000 are pretty much bomb-proof, as are all those engines.  BUT, at that age, you will find some well cared for, others not.

Example, many first time diesel coach owners have no idea that the coolant is special and different from automotive coolant.  Use "regular Prestone" and it can be a VERY expensive mistake.
