Cummins ISL 400 Fuel lift pump and cost of replacement.

"Cummins ISL 400 Fuel lift pump and cost of replacement."

I am aware that some of you have done this work on your driveway yourself.
My question is if anyone of you got this done by a professional in their shop such as Cummins or Bernard ...?
If you don't mind .... how much was it?
Those of you done it or got it done, is it a 4 hours job or a 8 hours job? 
My question is not fixing a small leak but replacing the entire fuel lift pump.

It took longer to procure the part than it took to replace it.  With one person laying across the motor, and the other up in the bedroom, handing tools, it took us about two hours.

 That's with two females doing the work. A couple of us guys could have done it too, just a tad more time required.

If your pump is the same as a 96 8.3 cummins I got one (carter brand)on eBay for $26 delivered.

Where is the lift pump located on the ISL ?
$26 for one pump, $600 for "parts" on another installation.....pretty good variance there.

In the '03 295, it is on the right/passenger side, toward the forward, upper part of the motor. 

At most, it was $250 from Cummins in Ventura, CA.
