AquaHot exhaust question

We recently purchased a 2002 U320. Only 73k miles and seems to have been very well cared for.

My question is about the Aqua Hot exhaust system. The chrome tip had been dented a bit and the exhaust pipe itself can be rotated side to side, but not moved up and down. Is this normal or should I be worried about damage where the exhaust pipe connects to the AH unit? I haven't been able to get under the coach to inspect further.

Thanks!

If the exhaust pipe is intact you are probably fine.  It attaches to the A-H at a very robust pipe elbow.  Many replace the OEM pipe with 2" exhaust pipe.  To remove that elbow you will need a 4' cheater bar on a large pipe wrench.

Kawatts, I had to replace my AH exhaust pipe. I took off the old one a went to a muffler shop had had him use it as a template for a new one. After the install added a new tip. I did use the original hanger/s.

Thanks. The pipe appears okay...my concern was that there might be damage where the exhaust connects to the AH unit, up insideI don't see any damage to the elbow or pipe but because it hangs below the bottom of the coach I thought it may have been hit/broken.
