A look at Motorhome Prices

Just for my own amusement I decided to look at the coaches listed in the MOT Jan/Feb 2016 sales brochure.
I looked up the NADA MSRP (Suggested List) prices as well as the high and low retails.

I then took the ratio of the asking price as well as the high and low numbers  to the MSRP and plotted the Asking 2 MSRP ratio by year. Attached is an excel spreadsheet with the 'stuff'.
As you can see, I get a reasonable curve with some interesting outliers.
Other than that I have to think more about what this tells me.
(Note: some of the data was a little hard to quantify with the limited information from the ads)

I havn't plotted the curves for the high and low values. They actually show more activity but I don't quite trust them yet.
A couple of coaches look worth a second look from a purely price standpoint.
Hope you find this interesting.

Very helpful to us, as we are talking with the insurance company about the proper value of our coach. It looks like, roughly, our coach had a new list of ~$350,000, so would be worth ~$35,000 now.

Just as a reminder:
Remember, these are asking prices...
I can't get very excited about the NADA retail prices, BUT, There is a crossover in their depreciation values that I havn't absorbed that looks interesting.

Personally, I think around 10% of MSRP for a '93 coach is just about right... but I don't lend money  O:)
