2001 living room slide

Due to medical issues we have not been using our 2001 U 295 36" coach for 9 months. Have returned to good to go and took a short trip. all was well. Slide extended normally. When time to retract slide came in but retracted too far at the top. Locks would not lock. All flush at bottom but in about 1 1/2" at top. It seems the glide strip on bottom of room falls into depression in carpet when fully retracted. I can lift at rear and locks will lock and air seal works fine. I was hoping someone has encountered this issue and might have a fix for it. HWH was no help at all. Told me to take it to a shop that they would suggest and have them call and since they would be paying customers they would suggest a repair. I offered to be a "paying customer " to no avail. I would appreciate any help that might be offered. Thank you.

You need the glide strip adjusted. Simple fix time wise but probably have them put in some roll lock bolts instead of the little ones I. There and that will take some drilling.  Mot or FOT or even Tenn RV should be able to do with covert little issue.  It is not the depression but that whole bar that has shifted

Thank you for the reply but there was a new air seal installed several years ago. At that time the slide glide was readjusted and new bolts were installed in holes as well as the bolts installed in slots. The first thing I checked was the height of his he bar. It has not moved at all. The angle iron is good and the 3/8, Teflon bar is like new. The bar is buried about 3/4" deep in crape the and pad when slide is retracted. I was not sure if slide glide was designed to carry  full weight of retracted slide. I think I will increase the distance between the angle iron and the bottom of slide to get it to plum up. I have it removed and can do this and reinstall to keep wall plum. I just was not sure about the full weight on bar. Thanks again for the input it confirmed the fact that room is supposed to be supported in the retract position by the slide glide bar.

IF that glide bar has most of the bolts in those oval holes then it could have slid a bit.  That and the bushings in the back control it.  If you can lift up the slide and get it to lock then you need to work on the glide bar. Check and see if you have it crushed down on the bottom of the opening too.

We adjusted the slide bar today on the living room slide. Used .75 inch of shim stock to raise it to correct height. It cannot settle anymore. I do appreciate your I assistance in solving this problem. It is a huge load off of my mind. Thanks again and if I may be of service to you please let me know.
