circuit board under foot of bed in plastic box?(that the plastic tabs broke off.

Will someone enlighten me as to what it is/does? '92 gv Oshkosh. It has a potientiometer on it....

I have never heard of such a thing, but maybe a picture would help. Must have been added by a previous owner as don't remember anything like that when they were new
