Leaking coolant lines to filter

Some of you may remember one of my little breakdowns while we were on our trip relating to suddenly losing a bunch of coolant due to aged out lines. Today finally I addressed the problem as my temp' fix had lasted over 7.ooo miles and I am parked over the pit so now is the time to do it right.
The hoses were in worse condition than I thought and had not only cracked at the connection ends but they are "baked" pretty good. I was able to snap them in pieces once off and you should not be able to do that with Airquip hydr' hosing !!!
I bought 9 ft of coolant hose from one of our Truck places and it had a nice silicone inner lining so totally able to withstand any hot liquids for a long time. Not cheap but hey no labour costs to make them up as I used the old fittings. I did take 3 pics of the problem ends and also one of the temp fix I did that lasted well. One thing I will say is that anyone else with the Cummins 350 ISC ( it may be other models as well) should look at these lines going to the coolant filter as they WILL give out just a matter of when. You do not want it to happen on the road as you will lose a lot of coolant fast. I was lucky as I was able to stop at an O'riellys and get the bits I needed to stop the flow. Middle picture shows the location of hoses and top one removed and the last picture is how I stopped the flow for the remainder of our trip. Last one (blurred a bit) is of new lines.

Good information John, thanks. On my 6v 92 I have really big lines that are looking pretty weathered and will need replacing soon.
