Sudden Air Release

I was sitting out side enjoying the fine weather here in Santa Fe where we have been parked since yesterday afternoon when suddenly there was a discharge of air from around front and back wheels on the passenger side which lasted about 15 or 20 seconds. The engine was not running and the coach remains level. I have not heard the auxiliary air pump run. The coach is on a very level site and is pretty much all the way down as low as it can go.
My question is what and why was there air sudden discharge of air? It is a real head scratcher, does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

It sounds like when the HWH "woke up" to check level, as it does every 30 minutes or so, it decided it needed to lower something.

Without being inside and watching the HWH panel when it woke up, you wouldn't know which corner or side it thought it needed to lower.  Note that as the sun warms the coach and night cools it, there may be some natural changes in the air bag pressure/height and this is completely normal and can cause a slight level change, especially if you are oriented so one side of the coach is east and the other west.

The way the leveling system works is that first it will exhaust to try and level.  If that satisfies the computer, you won't hear the aux compressor come on.  The compressor will only work to raise things if exhausting first doesn't cause the level sensor to be "happy".

One possibility. If the HWH is in auto it will wake up about every 30 minutes and check level. If it's not level it will try to level. It always tries to level by lowering the high side if it can. Thus you hear air. This also happens when you pull out a heavy joey. Don't ask how I know. :)

If it bothers you you can turn off the HWH after you level. Most coaches will stay level for days and sometimes weeks with the HWH off.
