Cat 3208 oil change

Is this my oil fill tube? It goes into the top of the head on one side of the engine.

Yes you have found it, mine has same fill cap on both side as you have on the left side of your photo. I have to reach in to the belly of the beast to do my oil.

Those photos bring back fond memories of my 1981 Foretravel. Great engine!
Be sure to keep your radiator clean. It can easily get clogged up back there.

Brings back some for me as well. Cut my teeth in a FT with a 3208 rear radiator. I would have kept the 280 longer if the ceiling had been 6 in taller and a walk thru bath. Still I had a big time with the old girl. Something about that first one causes a guy to be more forgiving.

All I ever did to mine was put a set of belts on it. I was 14 years younger but I recall that being choresum. Being the youngster Elliot is he won't even notice it, probably won't even need to stop for a drink of water.
