sounds like fan is running in Hydro Hot area

I am recent to the Foretravel family and I have found most switches to turn things off but I have a problem that when everything is off I still have a noise that sounds like a fan running in the front Bay area near the Hydroheat. I thought it may be the inverter but its not. I have a 1997 320 40 ft. The only way to stop is to disconnect every coach battery. I am concerned that leaving this on will drain and kill the new batteries. I switched off the 12v switch and turn everything I can see off to no avail. Do any of you have any ideas? I hate the thought of having to do that every time I send to storage. I hope someone has an idea

Probably the 12v aux compressor that keeps the coach level.  If it is running all the time or most of the time there is a big air leak.  You have to find the compressor and pull a fuse or put a switch in the power line.

Ron,

One other thing you need to check is the thermostat in the basement that controls the basement heat. This should be located on the wall in the compartment in front of the right rear tires.  If it is on it could be calling for the center circulating pump to run in you Aquahot unit.

You should have a basement fan to exhaust the heat in the basement. That is 12 volt and is on a thermostat.

There is no factory installed basement fan. Where are you located when the noise is heard. If you can hear the noise without climbing into the bay it probably is the inverter/charger cooling fan. The AquaHot circulating pumps are very quiet and difficult to hear without removing covers. Operate the bathroom thermostat and have someone listen for a change.

There is a 12 volt air compressor mounted behind the inverter against the ceiling

I have had a factory installed fan in my last two coaches, both a 2000 and 01. It is for the entire bay and usually in the same bay as the inverter. I know in later models they made a whole bay for the electronics too.

Not to get off topic from the original post but on a '97 coach it has 2 vent tubes that are to vent the coach battery compartment but no fans. The cooling vent fans were added to later years, although one could have been added by a PO. The inverter/converter had it's own cooling fan  as has been mentioned.

Thanks all. I will be taking a look at these items when I get the coach ready for a trip this weekend. I don't think its the aux compressor but at this point I need to recheck everything.
Ill keep all posted
