Wet bay tap

I have a small issue with the wet bay water tap on Toby.  For some reason the tap vibrates open going down the road.  My question is will attempting to tighten the nuts on the taps cartridges or the screws on the handles tighten up the assembly enough to alleviate this issue or should I start making some kind of retainer for the tap handles?

I think more of that happens than is written about. I have put a piece of the nylon covered curtain wire with a hook in each end across them and clipped into a ring at both ends. It holds the tap handles closed and when I need to turn them on I just unhook one end and that's it.
Simple but effective.
