Dock lights vs docking lights

We have both on our coach and I am trying to understand the difference. There are two switches on the panel left of the driver's seat, a left and a right dock light switch. I know what these switches do.

Then there is a 'Docking' light switch on the Intellitec panel by the coach entrance, which I can't find anything that it turns on. Does anyone know about the Docking light switch?

Royce, I think they may be the same thing unless the Dock lights are those under the step and along under the bay doors.  Hard to see during the day.

My docking lights (2001 U320) back at about 45°, in front of the front wheels and at the rear corners.  When Rance redid my tail lights he set up the rear docking lights to come on with the back lights.  All four corners are LEDs now.

Yes, Roger, the dock light switches on the driver's left panel control the angled lights at the front and rear,  but don't affect the "ground clearance" (my term) lights at the underside edge of the coach. These ground clearance lights are the ones that I am trying to get working.

Our switch for those is on the front face of the small floor cabinet next to the pass seat.  It has a green light when it is on. We have switches but not the intellitec panel. Not sure when they switched to those. Your coach is 16 after mine.  Maybe they added those in the 42s first.

Thanks, Michelle. It is hard to know what options there were and when they were available and when they just changed stuff. I have seen many differences in just 2001 U320s.  It is a good reason for shoppers to see as many as possible while looking.  Many differences you wouldn't even know were there.

Thanks Roger. I didn't know there were switches by the passenger seat until my wife mentioned. So the ground light switch is there and works except the lights are almost all dead.

The switch on the Intellitec panel is supposed to turn on all the dock lights at the same time.  Most of my Intellitec panel lights were out when I bought my coach 10 years ago.  There's an old thread of mine that told how I replaced them.  It involves soldering very small circuit boards, but it's clearly possible.

Royce, they are very dim anyway.  Look at night to get a better idea.  The subtle gentle light is nice.  I am not a big fan of the circus wagon look.  Some are.  I posted some links to lights on your other thread.

Checked my coach tonight to see if I have the "ground lights" option.
Switch is there and most of the lights work, who knew......I haven't spent any time in the passenger seat.
