Called Coach Net for Tow. Need info soon

Stuck in mud up to bottom of wheel. Decided to call Coach Net don't want to sink any further.

Apprehensive about being pulled out of mud. Where should tow truck guy pull coach. Have all these fears of chain damaging the glass etc.

Tow person will hook to the rear and pull from there. We got our 04 U320 42'stuck in mud and that was the procedure. Did not damage the coach. Best Wishes

Take some pics, hopefully they can just winch you out. By the way, been there!  ^.^d

I went out the way I came in being towed backwards by trailer hitch

I backed in last night.  Heavy rain came thru and today well you know what happened. Front hook up looks like the way to go. I have these fears of him pulling genny off the front of the coach.

Sometimes, even tow truck drivers have head scratchers!

I'm out. Chain was right under the front step on an angle. Held my breath as we creeped out at 2 mph.

After heavy rain this stuff was like beach sand. Tires just kept slipping.

Tow truck was only fifteen feet away, but 45 degrees from the passenger side which placed the chain right between the step and the headlight. When the chain tightened it was touching the fiberglass. I placed some cribbing under the glass on some metal framing hoping he wouldn't crack it. He didn't.

Mine was 75 feet from pavement and they used a farm tractor and steel cable hooked to rear trainel ball, no sweat.  50 bucks fixed it.

Surprising you did not have front pull hooks on your coach. On our Nimbus, we have two receivers up front that tow hooks can be inserted to pull with the frame. Is this something older coaches did not come with?

If you ever go to Oshkosh for the EAA convention in July, camping for you and the other 80,000 or so who camp there is mostly in about 120 acres of a former farm.  Good roads, lots of fun.  But then it rains.  And it gets muddy and soft and everyone wants to leave at the same time.  Out come some of the biggest, brand new John Deere tractors (they are a major sponsor) you ever saw and pull out everyone who is stuck to the nearest solid gravel road, usually not far.  Lots of fun to watch.  12 at a time dump station.

Could be they were an after market deal. Maybe in Texas they never hit the gumbo/muskeg. I sure wish we had them, or that cool "cow catcher" our forum friend has.
