Ahhhh... the 34 Footer

We're in Oregon. The state parks we've been to here have been heavily wooded and very tight. We decided to try one today with our 34' 270. Turned out great. As luck would have it we found out the park was full but not until we got to the booth. OK, we'll just cruise through and exit in order to execute plan b. Sloooooooowwwwly we meander among the evergreens, 5th wheels and trailers. Oooohh... that turn is pretty sharp. Made it though.  But what's this. A very tight turn with a travel trailer's slide sticking right out into the lane on the right and four huge boulders on the left and, of course, trees everywhere. Ever so carefully (large audience now) and ever so slowly, put the left front tire right next to the rock (head hanging out window) and watch the toad in the right miiror. ( sound familiar, anyone?) Just squeaked by. Didn't get an ovation but I thought I noticed a couple of nods of approval grudgingly given.

If we had been in our 40 footer we could not have done it. We would have had to detoad and the travel trailer guy would have had to decamp and somehow get out of the way. This is why I was excited to find this little rig. Let's hear it for the short ones. Hip, hip...
