Sorry, I probably should have posted an update. The new windshield and gasket arrived at All About Glass in Arnold, MO yesterday. It takes two people to handle the windshield, and the first date they could have two people come out is Thursday morning. They asked if 9:00 a.m. was too early. I said that when we sleep in late we don't get up until 7:00 a.m. The lady laughed and said she though they probably wouldn't wake us then. From NOAA: "Thursday  A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 95." Guess those guys will earn their pay.

For those who wonder, we're at 370 Lakeside park, which is a St. Peters city park (west side of St. Louis), and Arnold (where the glass is) is south of St. Louis. It is about an hour drive from there to here, so 0900 is about as early as they can be here anyway, assuming they start work at 0800.

The windshield has been replaced and we are cleared to leave tomorrow. Duncan sent the wrong gasket, but the two men who worked on it said that the old one was good enough to be repaired, so we didn't have to delay things any more than it had been.

We had a crack appear on drivers side window without an impact.  When we had it replaced at FOT, it was noted we had the separation you describe.  Common issue for our vintage according to them.  Fix was to take both out reset with adhesives and clamps.  So far so good.

Stump you said at a truck glass shop.. so I took it there, no new gaskets, side window out-welded an back driver out and in

$365, took 6 hours !


I'm gonna look at the plywood as soon as I can get someone to SEE it for me...lol

It sounds like a loose cap as said before. I fixed the bottom of mine and had Fortravel re-glue the top on and its like new now. Don't wait too long or the glass can be damaged again. Good luck.

David, Duncan is just an adjustment Company.  They simply arrange a replacement at any one they can find to do it and then bill your insurance company.
BE AWARE that FT owns the design for their WS's and that you can only obtain OEM WS's from FT.  Duncan will source a WS from somewhere else but its a crap shoot if it will fit.  ( Personal Experience ).
My advice FWIW, If you can get to NAC go there.  If not INSIST that duncan order the WS only from FT.  Most installers with truck and bus customers will be able to install it.
And lastly, Buy and have installed new rubber mounting gaskets for WS. At 150 bucks or so it eases installation and is good insurance against weathered ones.
