Replacing holding tank roof vents

We have a venturi type of cap that pulls air from the tank when the wind is from the front of the coach as when going down the road. Maybe all FT's start out like this. Anyway, I want to replace them with the omnidirectional venturi type. Are these caps glued to the pipe or will this come off the roof with just removing the screws and prying them from the caulking? Not wanting to get into a bigger-than-needed project if I can help it!  :))

I just replaced my refrigerator vent and it looked like the same seal on the tank vent,kind of a caulking and gasket easy to pry off.
I used the 3m sealer for gel coat.

Just remove the screws, pry off, then pull the cauking off. It is not glued to the pipe

Yes.  Typical 10 pounds of caulking under the old vent to clean up.  If the new unit does not cover all the screw holes from old unit, you will have to fill them with something.  I used Dicor Non-Sag.

Replaced our OEM with a swiveling vent from Camco - it has been (apparently) doing the job - no stinky smells in the coach.

Are there 2 vents per tank or does it draw air from the other vents via the drain piping?

On our coach, one vent pipe up top for both holding tanks...newer coaches may have more than one?  Air flows into the tanks via "breaker" vents.

Thanks folks, I just knew somebody had the answer. Would have used the vaned type caps but the solar panels are in the way.
