What Dinasour board for G10 2E Atwood water heater?

The 2 amp fuse on our Atwood 10 gallon gas water heater keeps blowing on our 1997 u270 despite following advice here.  Thought I fixed it by making sure wires did not short...but it happened again after a week.  Anyone know which Dinosour board I should replace the failing one with?  Since it seems to work sometimes..may event try using a 3 amp fuse....but might as well fix it once and for all.  Best source for Dinosour board also appreciated. 

Noticed that our Norcold fridge has a Dinosour board already...Am I correct in assuming that perhaps the previous owner installed this and it was not stock?  I also understand that the water heater board is interchangeable with the furnace and fridge.

They are great boards, the "universals" fit almost all our stuff. Give them an E or a call.Carry a spare.

If you can find a part number on your existing board, then you can find the matching Dinosaur part number on this chart:

Once you know which Dinosaur part you need, do a Google search for that part.  You can sometimes find them discounted at Amazon, etc.

Hey Carl, don't know about interchangeability but I would doubt it. If the fridge had a dinosaur board someone had changed it out.

Have you tried replacing the thermostats first? Much cheaper. Like I said, I had the same weird intermittent problem. Replacing the thermostats and solved it. I think one was grounding inside. I don't know the failure modes of the board, but it seems weird to have an intermittent short on it. When I pulled the plastic off holding the thermostats, they both crumbled in my hand.

To test, if you PAY ATTENTION...you can bypass both thermostats and see if you blow the fuse. Obviously, you can't leave it run forever.

All the parts are here...they seem to have aftermarket board, but not a dinosaur for the water heater. They do carry dinosaur boards for other thing.  Atwood Water Heater Parts | pdxrvwholesale

Just went through that search myself, since our electric heating element stopped heating, and the board was the cause. 

There is a Dinosaur board that will fit our current Atwood water heater.  We replaced our heater about 5 years ago, and it's now an Atwood GC10A-4E with 4 pin + 6 pin connectors (they slide onto an edge-card connector).  The Dinosaur board that fits that model and maybe some earlier Atwoods with gas + 120VAC is the UIB64  UIB 64 page.   

I was going to get that one from Amazon - Amazon.com: Dinosaur Electronics UIB64 Ign Board Atwood Gaz-Ac: Automotive , ($152)
but found the exact Atwood replacement board for less - Amazon.com: Atwood (93851) Circuit Board for Gas/Electric Combo Water...
($128), and ordered that one instead.
