Slide does not go out.

Today our yellow blinking light for the living room slide would not stop blinking. Bedroom slide works fine. Any suggestions?

Does the bladder for the LR slide deflate when you turn the key and the light is blinking?  Do you hear the aux compressor come on while the light is blinking?

Your year should need vacuum to be present to syou nd out the slide. You can use a pair of vice grips to get vacuum but you will have to do it a second time to bring it in too.

I wouldn't use vice grips on anything until I knew whether or not the slide bladder was properly deflated.

Try turning the key switch ON and OFF a few times and see if things straighten out. What I mean is turn it OFF and ON and wait to see what happens. If it doesn't stop blinking then
shut it off and then turn it back on and wait.
Repeat that action a few times and see if it solves the problem.

It worked for me about two months ago..

You should be able to see Iif it is deflated.  It is a vacuum switch that is not closing so the system will not extend  or retract. On my year the switch is a timed switch. If the bladder is deflated then the vacuum switch is bad.

My slide was stuck out the other day also. I did get it back in after suggestions from Tim and Dick S. Although in I still need to figure out what the air problem is that prevented me from getting it in normally. I added a schraeder valve below the air gage and pumped the system up with my home air compressor.

I think the compressor head on my Thomas TA-4101-DC is burned out (only pumps to 30 psi). I likely have an air leak that caused the head to burn out. I hope it is not the bladder, but I need to do some more testing.

Anxious for a report back.  There's a gentleman on rv.net (a wonderful person, BTW, who has briefly been a member here) who has reported 3 tries at having a slide bladder replaced in a Nimbus in recent weeks.  Being done by a FT-knowledgeable shop.  Brand new slide bladders are splitting at the seam, apparently where the valve is installed.  Hoping there is something unusual going on with that coach and not that HWH has another batch of bad slide bladder material.

Yup, LR bladder is kaputski..  Knew before buying coach......

Michelle, sometime back there was someone from another forum, that was working on bladders that had formed corners to fit the radius of the slide rooms, I think they were made of a different material, do you have any info on what happened to this project.

That was David Brady, who did so for Bluebirds and I think at one point spoke to FT about the material.  I don't know what ever became of it.  David moved on to a Prevost, IIRC.

The FTF archives really are a treasure house. BR slide in our 2002 U320 would not extend. We need the extra bed for out of state family coming for Christmas. Panic time for a newbe. Went to FTF archives. Read this post, completed the ignition switch suggestion and PTL it worked. Slide now extended and I have reconfirmed a valuable lesson. Always check the archives first and I can learn to take care of some issues myself. I appreciate being able to follow along in the forum and learning from experienced forum members in this our first year of ownership. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
