Why is my fridge running?

I don't get it. I have shore power connected but the ref power switch is off. Yet I can hear what sounds like a small fan or motor and the freezer is cold. what gives?

Maybe you have a separate motor for the ice Mc and freezer. This would be plugged separately into the adjoining outlet which is a different colour and feed. Take off the fridge back cover and check. If they are in separate outlets plug the ice maker one into the fridge outlet and then it should be stopped.

Y'all are correct. There are two power cords and two receptacles. The power cord that controls whatever motor is running and the freezer (as well as the ref perhaps, hard to tell since it's a bit chilly) is plugged it to the lower receptacle. However, when I plugged it into the upper receptacle the motor continued to run. BTW the ref is the propane/electric model, perhaps the original.

With your coach info you should have  Dometic RM 7832 if it is the OEM fridge.  Open the freezer door and down at your knee is an amber switch turn it to the off position.

Propane electric so it has a burner. The burner heats the refrigerant and may need to cook down some before the noise stops. Could also be a fan to assist the fridge that was added on that you are hearing.

One of the plugs is regular  A/C.  The other is A/C from inverter/converter.  Thus the reason one plug should be brown the other white.
