Switching seats. ( lumbar )

   The drivers seat in our U280 was beginning to be a little uncomfortable after a few hours. I suspect other vintage coaches could have the same issue.  When you sit sideways in the drivers seat on the GVs ( or passenger seat) eventually it could compress the edge of the seat to the point that you sit a little crooked. Like driving with a fat wallet in your pocket.      So I decided to switch em.

 I unbolted the 4 bolts that hold the seats to the swivel and moved the drivers to the other side and vice / verse on the passenger one. Now the DW ( or passenger) leans toward the wall a smidge but the drivers seat isn't lopsided anymore. Not something you can see but feel after hours of driving.

  The upside also is that I have the better sides of both seats facing the center of the coach. Power controls are easily switched also.

 Now for the real question. I saw the hose for a lumbar in the seat while doing the swap. No motor of course beacause we don't have lumbar "yet".  Can't I just ad the motor to gain that function or what.

Good going Robert. That is one of those things that I read and say

why didn't I think of that. Two almost new seats, sure beats spending

more than a coach buck getting seats redone.

If you call flexsteel with the seat serial number  found under neath you can order new foam and the installation is fairly simple.
