Odd noise after shutting off faucet

We are using city water and the last few days we have been hearing a low noise that to me sounds like whirring after I shut the faucet off. Last a few seconds. This happens at all faucets and the toilet. It's not the water pump, it's off. Sounds like pressure is building up. I'm going to check the accumulator tank, but if that is not it has anyone have this noise. Maybe burp the water heater? but it's when I'm running the cold water.

Just in case, I would have someone physically monitor the water pump next time.  I *think* some are driven by a latching relay and yours could still be running even with the switch off if the relay is stuck.

If you are not using the water pump and are connected to pressurized city water it may be your fill valve chattering when pressure drops a bit and then builds again after you close the faucet. Check the pump anyway but even if the pump is on it shouldn't make noise.  It might be your accumulator tank.  If you press on the air valve and water comes out then it needs to be replaced.

Checked all of the above. Good thing I did my relatively new accumulator tank was down to 20 PSI so I corrected that, but the tank only comes into play when using the water pump. No noise when on water pump alone.
Flowing water and building pressure seems to be the culprit. I just can't find where it is vibrating. It is louder behind the hose reel, moving/holding the pex piping does not diminish the noise. It is coming from behind the wall. Grrrrr, gonna open her up later.

Given the noise location - I wonder if it's your fresh water check valve, if the shuttle is failing or failed it could make a rattling noise.  I don't know where the check valve is located in a 2000.  In a 2003 it's behind the utility bay wall right after the line from the hose reel goes into the coach.

It's a shot in the dark, but easy to check.  Disconnect from city water and turn on the water pump.  If water flows out the hose the check valve has failed.

We only use city water to fill the tank and then use the pump until the tank is low. You never know what city pressure is and if you have a failure of a coach water component, you might need to call FEMA. We even shut off the pump when leaving the coach for any length of time.

Ooooh, mine is accessible behind the hose reel. I changed it myself at Camp Foretravel Feb 2016, so that is doubtful. I will certainly check it (pun intended)  :D before I open up the utility bay wall. I think I might need a stethoscope.

A good tool to have, and who doesn't like a project that lets you buy a new toy for the toolbox?  :D  Most auto parts places sell them.  If you don't have one, get an telescoping inspection mirror as well while you're there.  And a telescoping magnetic pick-up tool.
