I liked our FBP on our '02 but also like the gel with painted graphics on our 2001.  They are different.  Full body paint is where the market has gone.  Our old boat was gel coat and I buffed her hull a few times -  She sure were a pretty gal.  Our "01 ain't bad either.  ;D

The small dings on the nose appear to be less visible to me on the gel coat - lighter color not paint chipped.  Lots of discussion about nose protection,  -  Any way - we like both.

My vague memory of my info 30 years ago was that some white paint absorbed heat a bit where gel coat white did not.

Not a major amount but I remember touching white paint versus gelcoat long ago during presentations
