Bedroom clock

Have looked at Search and am not finding much help - Sooooooo

What have you folks done about repairing or replacing the BR flush mount clock.  We do have 12 volt power to the clock.  It just stopped working.

FT has no replacement and did contact a company that repairs electrical control panels that was referenced on this forum but they can not repair this product.  I have found a couple on ebay that I am inquiring about.

Looks like I will either have to purchase a bedside battery powered clock or adapt the existing cover plate to accommodate a flush mount digital clock.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Make a template and put in a car radio, our coach has 2 speakers on the sides at the foot of the bed.

Another idea, don't replace it use your cell phone.

Scott, ours quit a year or so ago too.  There is no replacement.  I have checked the circuits as far as I can and can't see an issue.  Probably some integrated circuit that fried.

My idea is to just bring our Echo along and put it in the bedroom at night.  "Alexa, what time is it?"  "The time is four thirty AM"

Good for lots of other things as well.

This is a picture of what I did to replace my non working clock. It keeps the time when switched off, as long as 12V power is maintained.

You did a great job with this.  How did you engrave the "ON/OFF" into the metal?  It looks nice and clean.

My brother works in tool & die. They have a machine that milled all opening and also scribed the letters. Used the switch off the old clock panel.

Here's a panel mount, but requires 1.34" clearance behind panel. 12 VOLT DIGITAL CAR ALARM CLOCK, PANEL MOUNT FOR CARAVAN, RV, MOTORHOME...

This requires less clearance: 12v 12 hour Clock, Panel Mount

I always wanted ours to also display the outside temperature.  ;)

Maybe this one. Everything I want except a way to adjust display brightness. Panel Mount 12/24volt + Temp & Calendar

Thanx Dave.

Keeping my eyes on that one too.

Figure I'll cut out on faceplate to fit it in.  If I screw it up I'll have another made.  Like the clock.

I had a clock made by PMMI in Houston. Of course, they no longer support this product. I actually found a soldered joint had broken apart and with a good magnifying glass was able to solder it back together

Removal of the clock above the bed
Is there a disconnect plug on the clock or would I have to cut the power wires to remove it?
One of the optical screws holding the slide switch on mine is missing and I need to affix it better.
I really don't want to be working upside down on the bed.

thanks
