Fiberglass fan to Nylon fan
Here are the "bad fan" and the "good fan"
The "bad fan" (fiberglass) I did a complete cleaning job on it just so I could handle it without getting covered with soot.
I also cleaned the fan spacer and the three groove V-belt pulley and then painted them.
New M8 1.25x100mm hex head bolts. (Imagine! There were metric bolts on a 1989!!)
Made things a whole lot easier to reassemble when things are nice & clean.
One hiccup at the beginning: I accidentally knocked the wood brace I had holding up the bed & mattress(heavy) while trying to crawl out. Still have a sore neck a week later. But I did use two braces after that--AND, sure enough!! I knocked the same brace out again!!
I think my "dumbass gene" has manifested itself again!
