Aquahot malfunction

To start with, the diesel side of my aquahot was not working. So I changed the nozzle, cleaned the photo cell, replaced the disc under the nozzle, and cleaned up the carbon on the sleeve and in the chamber. I also put a new filter on and did not fill it with fuel. My burner will not ignite, but the initial problem is the fuel filter is not even filling up. The fuel tank is about half full. Do I just need to try filling the fuel tank? Other thoughts? I have cycled the diesel switch on about 3 or 4 times. The light comes on (and there is some noise at the burner) for about 20 to 30 seconds and shuts off.

Thank you

I would fill the tank and the filter. There have been issues in the past with pickups being too short. Also the ignightor is something to look at but you need fuel first.

If you put a hose from the inlet of the fuel pump in a container of fuel and it works it may bad fuel hose. That was the problem with the AH on my coach when I bought it.

I had the same problem on mine, I used the Aquahot troubleshooting manual I found online. What you hear when you cycle the switch is the electric motor running which spins the fuel pump for the burner unit. The unit has only so long to ignite before it will shut down. Yours sounds like it's not igniting and going into default mode and then turns off. If it's electrical issue my guess is the coil. My coil was bad. The troubleshooting manual said coil or photocell. Coils run approximately $470. If you need one I have an extra I would sell for $350 shipped.
