How to get sensors to stick to fresh water tank?

Didn't want to take Bob's direct fill post in another direction but I saw Roger had indicated a problem that I have been having since I got the coach...quote from Roger: "If you have a white(ish) fresh tank then almost nothing (including silicone) will stick to it."....I have tried everything I can personally think of to get the sensors for the tank to stick with absolutely no luck....I would appreciate the advice /success of the members.
Happy Memorial Day!

Guaranteed that 3M is your answer. I own a body shop here in town and some of the adhesives we use are space age and do not come apart. I would call a local jobber (automotive paint supplier) and they will lead you down the right path...
