Recovering window surrounds (split from Re: What did you do to your coach today VI)

I took these off the windows today. I recovered 2 of the large ones and this one is ready to be recovered. This looks to be an easy job and technically is, although my hands are no longer complying with my desire to finish this tonight. Its a revolt of capital and labor! Tomorrow is another day!

Are you using a pneumatic stapler? If not...

A Senco 1 gallon air compressor and a pneumatic stapler of your choice makes this project go much easier!  You're hands will thank you.

Too funny, no, I am using a hand stapler which really is not too bad. It is pulling the old staples out that has my hands rebelling against management.

That is a great suggestion though. I am done with pulling all the staples now, so tomorrow I can finish the job. No guitar tonight!

The "Double Rock" upholstery staple remover will help a lot.  Makes removing the staples a breeze.

I used a tool that was similar, older style and this new one looks great for use in the future, thank you. My other half tells me that I need to learn moderation and perhaps, pulling all the staples out of these for 6 windows among other things is a little much for one day! She is always right, darn it!

I've had great luck using dikes to remove staples.

I am getting around to hanging all the window covers back up. We are by no means experts and really have little idea how this should have been done. It looks good to us and the untrained eye.

Split this out (and as a gentle reminder we did have a request Suggestion on Posting )

CS - is it an optical illusion in the photo, or does the window surround need to shift to the right (or the blinds to the left)?

Michelle, I think it is because that yellow clip?? is not centred right which gives an offset look on blind. Hopefully it is just that-"clipped on and not permanent"

No - I was looking at the bottom left where it looks like you can see the left edge of the blinds, and then the bottom right where the edge is fully hidden.

That picture is not good and on my pad I cannot really make out the edge on left, but, do see what could be a finished edge on blind. Hmmm

It really was pretty dark for a picture! The shade is centered, but....... my photo skills or lack thereof are off center, Michelle had me thinking about that for a minute. I really am out of my element here, but, I thought it might be fun to take a chance and do it with my other half. We shall see when it is all done.

A friend told me once. Other makes use 2 screws to mount something. Foretravel uses 6!
True that.
