Go to Search and type in "Surge Protector"...  you'll find all sorts of opinions, advice and admonitions...

We use a Progressive EMS 50PTX and like it a lot...  especially during the thunderstorms we've been having here lately.

I do my Foreforum searches a little different:

Instead of using the convenient search at the top right of the page, use the search from the "Community" drop down menu. This search gives you a few more search options. I usually select "Most recent topics first." This avoids having to search through so many search hits, when I am looking for more current information.

YMMV

I am not in favor of any surge protectors that do not have under & over voltage protection.  The most popular and used by many is the Progressive Industries EMS.  The EMS designation is the key as Progressive Industries also sells plain surge protectors, that have a limited value in campgrounds.
