Villa copilot chair foot rest

Chair foot rest started up and then stopped. It refuses to go up or retract even with pressure. Any ideas are appreciated.

Do you hear the motor click or any sound from it?  Do any of the other switches work?

There is a common problem with the power connection / wiring harness.  Mine will fail sometimes with no power to anything on the chair.  Barb just leaves it down anymore.  At least until i get to it.

Motor operating with all the other controls. One can see the motor torqued. But no movement. There is screw in front and rear of what appears to be gear housing.

You need to lube all moving parts then keep trying to move the foot rest up and down. The worm gear and slides get gamed up. That's if the motor works.

John,

Nice pictures. Next time you are out there, would you please take a picture of the wiring at the connector plug?

Mine came without the connector plug, and I would like to see which wires are tied together to get the 12 VDC and which go to the "ground".

Thanks,

Trent,
On my Villa seat the power coming from coach red and green and the seat is orange and black.  Green is lined up with the black and the red is lined up with the orange.
