Generator

Generator on a 2002 U270 runs perfect when sitting still, shuts off when vehicle moves. The dashboard shows a fault (red light). The generator panel shows low oil as the fault, but the dip stick is clear full, the filter is recent, and the oil is beautifully clean. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Larry,

A quick search of the forum turns up either the oil pressure sender or the generator auto start as possible culprits.  You can use the forum search - hover over Community on the upper left, click Search, then put in generator oil sender for search term.

Check the connection on the low oil pressure switch.

If the low oil pressure sensor wiring is ok sometimes and additional small amount of turning it in may restore its ground connection to the block
